Okay so WOW. I don't know what I expected going into the book but I did not expect THIS. I've seen the hype about this book around and since I prefer reading a book when it's NOT totally hyped up, I waited a while before picking it up. And I loved it. The Plot In this world, everything revolves around beauty...
This book is a retelling of Labrynth and considering this is the first time I'm even hearing of it, I can't say anything on similarities. I picked up Wintersong because a lot of people have been reading it and I wanted to read fantasy. I honestly don't know how to review this book. I started wondering this half-through the book itself. Okay first off, the cover is extremely pretty and I want the hardcover of this book only so I can take a hundred pictures of it[...]
I didn't enjoy Truthwitch (review here) but since I had bought had Windwitch already, I read it. It was better than Truthwitch, but I didn't find that much improvement. The Plot We pick up a little after the ending of Truthwitch, with some key events that happened in the middle time gap. Despite slightly not liking the first book (which I reviewed here) I was really looking forward to this book. I was STOKED to see how this would end. Well, guess what? IT DIDN'T. Blake got contracted for two more books in this series. While that's really great for her to develop the story and show more of the world, the reason I read Three Dark Crowns this late was so I wouldn't be left hanging in suspense. But it's not written in the cards.
