February Wrap-up

The next time I look up, it’s going to be December again. Seriously, though. The only things that makes me realize each passing month are the wrap-ups I do. Feb was QUITE busy for me. I did way less blogging than I usually and managed to sleep 7 hours at night more times in Feb than I have all of last semester.

Book Reviews:

(I’m still hopelessly behind on reviews.)

Not sure if y’all realised but I stopped doing the “Other Posts I Published” section in my wrap-ups. I just thought it took a lot of space and it didn’t make these posts look nice. So yeah, ditching that.

Elsewhere in the blogosphere

I quite relate to this post by Lisa @ RemarkablyLisa titled “I have an Odd Reading Problem” which details almost exactly how I lose control of my reading. I had the problem of trying to keep up with one-book-a-day earlier this year and I finally managed to leave it behind half-through February. I’m real proud of myself. #babysteps

I absolutely loved this post by fanni on How to Improve Your Blogging Photography. One of my blogging goals this year is to work on my blog photography so this was super helpful. I haven’t made headway on my photography yet (because of a LOT of IRL things) but I WILL.

Julianna wrote a really nice post on Types of Bookstagram Accounts and I totally agree! You should definitely check it out.

I always feel guilty when I unfollow blogs, hence why I make sure to follow blogs I’m SURE I’ll love and just follow the others on social media. Rhea @ Bookchanted wrote a super cool post on unfollowing blogs titled “Reasons Why I Would Follow/Unfollow A Blog And Why You Shouldn’t Feel Guilty About It” and it gives me reassurance.

Analee wrote on Blogging Confessions and I have to say, I’ve done most of them. And I DO wish no one notices *grimace* Check out her post to relate and cringe inwardly at yourself as well.

Smol notable things that happened:

College started up again! And this month looks to be VERY hectic. I’m past the point of high stress and well into “procrastinating by doing anything but” stage already. This semester will go swell 🙂

I used to play QuizUp in 2014 and I was REALLY into it. I made India top 10 in Once Upon A Time and Indian second best in Teen Wolf. After that I uninstalled and haven’t gone back until a few days back. A friend mentioned it and I immediately snatched it up for the aforementioned procrastinating. I’m just going on many random topics but I’m partial to computer science and word scrabble so I work more on those.

I almost completely ignored blogging. Fortunately I scheduled posts for most of the month in January during my break so I was sorted in that front. Otherwise I’d be more harried. However this also means I don’t have posts scheduled for March so I’d have to carve out time regularly for blogging.

Personally, this month has been full of ups and downs. Especially the last week. Not going to talk more on that, though. I’ve vented enough to friends.

And that’s all for February! I’ve actually written more on the personal front in my Life Update so I kept it short here. I also have to run because I’ve got deadlines coming up and I’m nowhere near done with the work.

See ya later!

  1. Very busy,
First face USA FDA audit. Prepare all record and maintain data. Train all people and follow as per SOP. Tuff…..
Second after audit go out of station do company work. And this time make salary all employees. Busy but enjoyed.

  2. An emotional rollercoaster.
I went through an existential crisis at least twice and I was questioning my reality every 5 minutes(more on that in a future blog). Other than that my February was absolutely colourful. Happy Holi by the way!

    1. Ohh I’m sad you didn’t have a good Feb mental health-wise. I hope your March is better! And Happy Holi! 😅

      1. Hey Sumedha. About the mental issues-i have a question. How do you stay sane even when you feel extremely isolated and confused about everything?

      2. Honestly, I drowned in books. I had spells of depression in 9th and 10th grades and I survived by losing myself in books. They were the only things keeping me grounded and sane.
I say find something that you love, which makes you focus on only that and nothing else. Like reading, painting or running. Anything to just get through that bit of time because it won’t last forever. Don’t let it beat you 💙

      3. Thanks a lot. I feel a lot of high school children these days are putting extremely unrealistic goals about themselves and their surroundings. I guess im one of them. According to you, is it okay for a 14 year old such as myself to be going through so much at such a young age?

      4. I had it when I was 14 and I wouldn’t say it’s okay. It’s not okay at any age, let alone so young. I think a major is also friendship and where you stand with others because the reason I fell into depression was loneliness and not having friends. Finally two people adopted me as their friend and only after more than a year did I get close enough for them to matter and hence I felt better because I mattered to them. It’s all about self-worth. If you’re worrying about studying, let me tell you something. Don’t pressurise yourself until 11th grade. I worked so hard for 10th boards and lost weight, and no one sees those results anymore.

I guarantee you, your mental health will always matter more in terms of future. Now I make sure to take care of myself. I actually skipped classes today because I’ve been so stressed, right before tests because I finally prioritize my mental health first.
