This month has been hectic! But since I’m back to college and have about two hours of bus rides to listen to music everyday, you bet I listened to music a lot.
We’ve got a pretty good list of songs today, so let’s dive right in!
Take Me Over by Red
This isn’t a new song but it came up on shuffle in my playlist one day and I FELL IN LOVE. It’s also really nice to think about things and look out the window in the bus, wind blowing on your face. I just really like it.
Capsize by Frenship & Emily Warren
One of my friends suggested that I listen to this song and I marked it but I never really listened but one day it came up on shuffle and for the next week it played on repeat. It’s a really nice song to listen to while doing something because it’s got upbeat beats and also suits the “chill and work” mood.
Naked by James Arthur
Definitely my #1 of the month! I was listening to the “My Mix” playlist on YouTube (everyone has one made by YouTube) and this came up on autoplay. I fell in love instantly. It’s been playing on repeat and I can’t stop listening to it! His voice shows so much emotion and it makes me emotional as well.
You Are The Reason by Calum Scott
I’ve heard one of his covers before but I didn’t like it that much. But this song came up on autoplay after Naked and it’s a good follow-up to keep the mood going. I’ve taken to playing it right after Naked in my playlist.
Superficial Love by Ruth B.
I’m not sure who but someone commented on one of my Favourite Songs posts to listen to Superficial Love. I did listen but I wasn’t very taken by it. But when YouTube made the My Mix playlist for me, it played this as well and that’s when I got a liking to it. When I’m not in the mood for Naked and something a little lighter, I listen to this. It’s a really good song, and I really like her voice.
The song is also pretty catchy! After listening to it only a few times, I’m already singing along.
And that’s it for this month!
Have you heard the songs that I mentioned? What songs did YOU play on repeat this month? Do you have any recommendations for me? Tell me in the comments!
